Psychotherapy

Therapy provides the unique experience of being listened to and understood by another in a way that leads to fuller self-awareness and acceptance. It is an evolving process that opens up new opportunities in how you perceive and relate to yourself and others, as well as how you choose to live your life.

Together, in an atmosphere of compassion and warmth, we will create a safe environment in which you can share your best and worst moments, find new ways to make sense of difficult situations and become empowered to move forward with confidence.

I always take into account the complexity of your circumstances and history, not just the presenting symptoms.

Therapy is a collaborative process. One of the most important factors in the successful outcome of treatment is finding a good fit between therapist and patient. I look forward to getting to know you and discovering together whether or not I am the right therapist for you. Contact me to schedule a consultation.

Practice

My years of experience and training allow me to creatively blend elements from different theoretical perspectives and approaches, clinical common sense and appreciation for the body-mind connection in a way that best meets the needs of the person with whom I work.

I have expertise in working on a range of emotional issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, parenting, adoption and issues of cultural adaptation and immigration.

I offer individual psychotherapy to adults 18 and older. My clients come from many different cultural backgrounds, walks of life and sexual orientations. I work particularly well with people in the creative community.
